Currently the 6 Beam hardware unit is supported under Windows, Mac and Linux.
It is important to note that as of November 1, 2010, the Player, Studio and ShadowBeamz Games are only supported under Windows.
The release of the Software Developers Kit will increase the number of software programs available under Mac and Linux.
Dear DJ Blade, Thank you for the posting.
I hope you will read this and that it will help you understand what Beamz is doing in regards to bringing the Beamz to full compatibly with Mac, and Linux.
First, full compatibly means both software and hardware. Second, currently the Beamz 6 and 4 Beamz hardware works with Windows, Mac and Linux, however, the software currently on the market has only been written for Windows. (this means you can run Boot Camp or Parallels which will allow you to use your Mac.
However we have just finished the beta versions of the new MAC mapping software.
This will allow you to Map ALL your DJ programs to the Beamz.
Beamz has just released the Software Developer Kit (SDK) which will bring the Hardware to FULL compatibility with Mac and Linux by next year. As I am in charge of the software developers, I would enjoy your input as we begin testing the new Mapping Software.
If you wish to help test, let me know and I will send you an invitation to the Developers Group.
